Surgery
Please do not feed your pet the morning of a scheduled anesthetic procedure (surgery, dentistry, etc) You may feed the night before, and allow free access to water. Pick up all food before you go to bed.
Plan on arriving at the hospital between 8-8:30am. This will allow us time to complete pre-anesthetic testing prior to surgery. Procedures are typically performed between 11am - 3pm, Monday through Friday. We will give you an approximate pick up time when we admit your pet. It is always best to call prior to coming to make sure the pickup time is still accurate. Most surgical patients go home late the same day. Pets having major surgery are typically kept overnight.
Diabetic Testing
Unless otherwise instructed, give all meals and insulin at the normal time, and have the patient here at 8am. Bring along your insulin, and extra food if the pet normally eats during the day. Plan on leaving your pet here until at least 5:30pm
Boarding
Boarding guests may arrive or go home anytime during office hours. Please be aware that first thing in the morning, and last thing in the evening can get a bit hectic! If you can come mid-day you may find it less stressful. Checkout time is 1:00 pm (you will not be charged for that day) unless your pet is scheduled for a bath. If a bath is scheduled-we will give you an approximate pick up time.
Vaccinations must be verifiably current to board. You must produce a certificate from a Licensed veterinarian upon arrival. If vaccinations are not verified upon arrival, and we cannot reach your veterinary hospital, vaccines will be administered and billed accordingly.
Dogs must be current on Da2LPP, Bordetella and Rabies.
Cats must be current on FVRCPC, Feline Leukemia, and Rabies to board.
